The Life Sciences Career Day aims to create, develop and promote opportunities for both tertiary students (future industry talents) and corporate companies to meet. Such career days are organised once or twice a year jointly with Department of Biological Sciences, the Faculty of Science, and the Life Sciences Coordinating Committee of the NUS.

The Life Sciences Career Day is beneficial to Undergraduates, Graduates, and Post-Graduates in helping them to explore career options and to understand what they can expect in their chosen career paths. A typical half-day format includes three parts: (i) talks by CEOs/MDs, (ii) Panel Discussion to answer questions from students and (iii) an exhibition by companies and organizations related to Life sciences in Singapore. Students get opportunity to meet with employers of renowned Life Sciences companies and have first hand answers to their queries.

The 2nd Life Sciences Career Day 2005 was a very successful event jointly organised by Faculty of Science, Office of Life Sciences and Dept of Biological Sciences, in collaboration with EDB and BioSingapore. We had an overwhelming and good response from over 650 students, 20 companies and organizations in the Life Sciences area. The keen and enthusiastic participation of both companies and students helped us to meet our objectives; which is to create, develop and promote opportunities for both students and companies in Life Sciences to meet via an interactive platform.
