Zebrafish and Medaka Models for Human Diseases

Zebrafish and medaka are gaining prominence as an important vertebrate model for investigating various human diseases. The number of researchers using zebrafish and medaka models has been dramatically increasing throughout the world. To meet the increasingly high demand of knowledge sharing and learning in the field, Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore is organizing a Workshop on “Zebrafish and Medaka Models for Human Diseases – disease models, CRISPR, drug discovery and toxicology” at 10 – 14 December 2018.

This workshop aims to provide a platform for researchers and senior students who are currently working or planning to work with the zebrafish and medaka model to learn the latest research development and advanced techniques using zebrafish and medaka as a model for human diseases. The workshop is structured around research seminars and lectures, along with hands-on sessions. This workshop will also promote collaboration among researchers in the zebrafish and medaka research community.

Workshop commences: 10 – 14 December 2018
Registration deadline: 10 October 2018
