Ong Xueyuan (Oxy)

I completed my Honours degree in Life Science with the aim of fulfilling my childhood dream of being a Zoologist. I believe that every human should have a raison d’être, and mine is to work with animals for animals. My affinity for frogs developed years ago, after acquiring a frog unexpectedly.

My honours project in the Bickford lab focused on Anuran (Frogs) endoparasite variation across a disturbance gradient in Singapore.

Prior to this, I have also performed preliminary studies on the mating behaviour of jumping spider (Paracyrba wanlessi) and the diet range of dung beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea) in Pulau Tioman (Malaysia). I enjoy nature and arts in my leisure time.
