My PhD Research Topic: Community Structure and Feeding Ecology of Fish in Impacted Coastal Habitat
What did I find out?
With a rapid development
to serve a very hot economic growth of this city-stated country, community
structure, dynamics and feeding habits of nearshore fishes have been investigated
since 1999 along intertidal area of eastern Johor strait, Singapore. My
research was aimed to correlate any possible factors such as tides, distance
from the strait entrance, seasons and different habitat modification that
may affect the community and assemblages of fishes and their feeding habits.
The finding will serve as a fundamental information and enable coastal manager
to imply in any decision making related to coastal area. Moreover, it can
also be fulfilled the lack of such information from tropical region and contributed
in the occurrence of fisheries world resources.
