General Research Interests
- Crustacean systematics and phylogenetics
- Clarification of cryptic species in brachyura using morphology and molecular techniques
- Population genetics of commercially important brachyuran species
- Evolution of species complexes in crustaceans
I am currently working on my PhD dissertation (Population Genetics of the flower crab Portunus pelagicus).
Beside population genetics, I am also interested in using molecular tools as an aid to morphological observations to solve the problem of cryptic species and species complexes, as well as the higher systematics of Decapoda families.
