Developmental (Zebrafish) and Cell Biology Laboratories

The floor (Blk. S2 level 5) was renovated and has been fully occupied since 2003 by five esearch groups working on developmental and cell biology. The groups, encompassing expertise in molecular genetics, molecular angiogenesis, developmental biology and cell signaling were brought together through a major BMRC Collaborative Grant that focus on examining hepatocarcinogenesis using the zebrafish as a vertebrate model. The wing houses six laboratories, with open lab layout, one special cell culture room equipped with five culture hoods, one dark-room, one radioactive room, one core/common facility room with upright freezers, shakers, autoclaves and yeast hood. The wing also houses two fluorescent microscopes, a special microinjection room for embryo studies and a common cold-room.
