Call for Abstracts

Presentations

  • Both oral and poster presentations are welcome.
  • Oral presentations will be 15 minutes long, including questions and answers.
  • Posters for poster presentation must fit in a space not exceeding 700 x 2000 mm. This will be able to comfotably accommodate a standard A1 size poster (594 x 841 mm). Thumb tacks for mounting the posters will be provided.
  • The official language of the Conference is English.

Publications
Abstracts will be compiled into a Conference Book of Abstracts. No Proceedings will be published.

Abstract Submission Instructions

1. Abstracts submitted must adhere strictly to these instructions on style and format.

2. Abstracts must be written in English, and submitted electronically as e-mail attachments (attached file should be .txt or .doc file format) to the conference secretariat dbsbox5@nus.edu.sg by 15 Oct 2004.

3. Abstract submission must be accompanied by a duly completed soft copy of the Abstract Submission Form (Form B)

4. Font type “Times New Roman”; font size 12.

5. The title should be brief, but long enough to identify clearly the nature of the study. Capitalise first letter of each word. The title must not exceed a total length of 2 lines of A4 paper in portrait orientation.

6. In writing author’s names, please start by initials or first names, and then last names. Mark the name of the presenting author with an asterisk (*), and specify his/her institute and country.

7. The abstract should contain text only. Pictures, graphics, scientific or mathematical formulas and tables cannot be processed.

8. Abstract length and content must be sufficient (maximum 300 words) to convey the major emphasis or message of the author(s).

9. You may submit more than one (1) abstract. Each abstract should be accompanied by a separate copy of Form B.
