Field of Research: Innate immunity - pathogen surveillance strategies

Molecular Biology of 'host-pathogen interaction' and innate immunity - functional genomics and protein-protein interaction studies of innate immune molecules and microbial PAMPs during infection, and characterization of LPS-binding proteins and peptides. Development of novel biosensors for LPS; new strategies for removal of LPS from pharmaceutical products; novel antimicrobial peptides.

    - novel cloning vector for molecular biology & biotechnology
    - peptide antibiotics
    - High performance affinity purification / removal of endotoxin
