Research Areas:
Computational biology, Bioinformatics,
Gene expression profiling, DNA microarrays, Proteomics, Biomarkers,
Disease mechanisms, Drug discovery.
The overall goal of our research
program is to understand molecular mechanisms of human diseases
by applying computational biology methods. We are developing integrative
knowledge management platform that combines DNA sequences, protein
domains, gene functional annotations and biological pathway information
in an effort to address the needs of modern large-scale biology.
Specifically, we are interested in developing analysis methods for
mining expression profiling data derived from DNA microarrays and
proteomics. On-going research projects in the lab include studies
of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and diabetes using systematic approach.
