August 2008 to 1 July 2009: Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.

PhD Saskatchewan, MSc BSc Hons Panjab

Research Areas:

Conservation Biology, Environment Management and Ecology

Research Interests:
My science encompasses descriptive as well as experimental approaches to single or multidisciplinary questions. I have worked in a wide range of habitats and landscapes, which has given me a breadth to ask broad-based questions. I am primarily interested in determining how tropical deforestation is impacting biotas. My research has been funded by the university and various governmental and private organizations.

Current and recent Projects:
Effects of forest loss on animals and ecosystem processes
Extinctions from tropical islands
Ecology and management of house crows and mynas
Management of birds at airfields

Awards:
Charles Bullard Fellowship, Harvard University (2002)
Outstanding Researcher Award, National University of Singapore (2004)
Sarah Hrdy Fellowship in Conservation Biology, Harvard University (2008-2009)

Other positions
Associate in Ornithology, Museum of Comparative Zoology,
Harvard University

Editorial Board Memberships:
