The full-time teaching assistant (FTTA) will support the teaching in the Master of Forensic Science program and undergraduate forensic science program which runs both during the day and at night. Specifically, the FTTA will support, but not limited to, the following activities during day and night classes:
1) Teaching in tutorial and practical classes
2) Provide logistic support for all Forensic Science modules
3) Provide administrative support for all Forensic Science modules
4) Support fieldtrips and learning trips for forensic science students to various government and private institutions.
5) Provide support for forensic science-related research
Qualifications
The full-time teaching assistant (TA) should preferably have a degree in life-science with experience in forensic science. Candidates with a degree in any other scientific discipline are welcome to apply.

Research Fellow in Multiscale Brain Imaging and Analysis
Neuron Signaling Laboratory
The Neuron Signaling Lab (https://neuronsignalinglab.org/) at NUS is seeking a motivated and skilled Research Fellow to join our interdisciplinary neuroscience team. We use advanced optical imaging and behavioral analysis to uncover how molecular pathways shape brain function, aiming to bridge molecular and systems neuroscience.
Our core platforms include:

We focus on behaviors such as goal-directed learning, motor learning, anxiety, and fear memory, with strong interest in primary cilia and nuclear signaling in the brain.
Position Summary:
We seek a candidate with strong expertise in microscopy, optical principles, and computational image analysis to:

- Support and enhance ongoing imaging projects in the lab
- Develop AI-powered pipelines for analysis of calcium imaging, high-resolution fluorescence microscopy, and behavioral videos
- Lead cross-modality image registration applications
- Launch new projects that leverage our optical expertise to probe brain function
Required Expertise:

- Strong background in optical imaging principles and microscopy (e.g., confocal, 2P, STED, or light sheet)
- Demonstrated experience in image processing, quantitative analysis, and biological interpretation
- Proficiency in AI/machine learning tools for image segmentation, transformation, registration, or tracking
- Solid mathematical foundation for image analysis (e.g., affine transformations, convolutional filters, matrix and morphological operations)
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and/or experience with ImageJ, Napari, Imaris, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Familiarity with in vivo imaging, optogenetics, and spatial transcriptomics is a plus
- At least one strong first-author publication in microscopy or image analysis is required

Job Description
The plant symbiosis Lab at the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore, is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work on the project “Maximizing Biological Nitrogen Fixation Across Environmental Conditions” led by Assistant professor LIN Jieshun.
The Research Assistant will help PI to build and run the lab. He/she is expected to take the responsibility of safety and purchase. The candidates with experience of molecular biology or lab management are preferred.
The Research Assistant is responsible for the following tasks:

Qualifications

Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for an Assistant Lead (Sustainability Academy). Sustainability Academy is a “one-stop shop” for continuing education and training programmes (CETs) on climate, nature, energy, green finance and other sustainability topics. We provide holistic training for a diverse group of partner groups to develop competencies and capabilities, and better embed sustainability in their respective workstreams and domains. One of our key objectives is to upskill public and private sectors in Singapore and ASEAN on sustainability-related topics.
The Assistant Lead will be responsible to support the Sustainability Academy in ensuring the timely delivery of CET with/for national, regional and/or international clients. You will support the Lead in terms of programme management activities, from the design, development and delivery of high-quality CET programmes to providing administrative and logistical arrangements from start to end of each programme. The position is expected to begin in May 2025 or soon thereafter. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with the possibility of renewal.

Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships to promote the University’s continuing education and lifelong education objectives

Collect, prepare and review relevant sustainability CET courses offering statistics for reporting to senior management and internal/external stakeholders

Collect information on and review processes and systems for optimal efficiency and stakeholder experience, particularly on meeting new demands for sustainability courses and working with existing NUS course owners to build a new pipeline of courses

Play a critical role in CET Programme development on programme content, instructional design, managing instructors and participants

Execute or provide expertise and support to business development strategy and activities for sales of CNCS CET Programmes with a focus on demand generation, lead nurturing and client conversion

Represent the Centre at events and establish relationships with key stakeholders for potential collaborations

Qualifications

Job Description
The Reef Ecology Lab at the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore, is seeking to appoint an exceptional postdoctoral researcher to the position of Research Fellow to work on the biodiversity component of an interdisciplinary project “Alginate to Oil (A2O): Non-photosynthetic Diatoms and Sustainable Approaches to Produce Carbon-Neutral Foods and Fuel” led by NUS and Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory.
This 4-year project seeks to develop a new method to utilise diverse microalgae for the production of oil with applications in food and fuel production. The biodiversity component of the project aims to characterise seaweed, microalgae and epifauna biodiversity on coral reefs and to test ecological impacts of seaweed harvesting.
The Research Fellow is responsible for the following tasks:
- Coordinate field and lab work required for the project
- Analyse data and prepare project reports
- Broadcast findings via publications and presentations
- Mentor junior researchers in the lab
Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a PhD in marine and/or molecular ecology, with research experience in marine field research and molecular biology using next-generation sequencing tools (e.g. DNA metabarcoding and metagenomics). They should have a history of publications consummate with their career stage. Research skills including leadership, strong statistical and analytical skills, and excellent writing abilities are desirable. Rescue SCUBA diver preferred.
This is a full-time position for two years, with possible extension up to four years. Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
