Revealing the physical principles that govern living systems
We combine biology with physics, chemistry, computation and advanced imaging to understand how biological systems are organised, move, interact and function across scales – from individual molecules to cells and tissues.
Our research encompasses structural and molecular biology, mechanobiology, quantitative bioimaging, computational biology and systems modelling. By developing and applying cutting-edge approaches in microscopy, spectroscopy, structural analysis and computation including AI tools, we uncover biological mechanisms in detail that goes far beyond conventional approaches.
