Synopsis:
This presentation will introduce school students to the application of microbes in fighting against common pollutants. We will consider locally relevant examples such as the Pasir Panjang oil spill, the marine plastics crisis, and wastewater treatment. We will use these examples to explore concepts that are widely applicable in the environmental and biological sciences.
